I’m kinda newbie at using Linux OS series, but since I forced to use em I gotta learn about it bit by bit and post it here as  my reminder. I currently using ubuntu 11.10 & I have to browse into windows OS shared folder in my office LAN, like the title said I use Samba to do so. If you running fresh installed ubuntu, you have to download and install it first from Ubuntu Software Center.

After Samba is installed, search and run it, when it first run you will be asked to input your login password. After correctly input your login password now open Home Folder , click File then click Connect to Server. On Connect to Server dialog, click on combo box and select Windows share, then simply input IP address of Windows OS PC, then finally click connect.
